BMW GROUP MALAYSIA CELEBRATES STELLAR DEALERSHIPS AND INDIVIDUALS FOR BMW, MINI AND BMW MOTORRAD BRANDS AT ITS 9TH DEALER AWARDS NIGHT.
Premium automaker recognises the best of the best in the BMW network to celebrate another successful year in 2018.
Kuala Lumpur, 5th April 2019 – BMW Group Malaysia recently hosted its annual Dealer Awards Night, commemorating more than 80 local dealer representatives and individuals for outstanding performances as it marked an eighth consecutive year of record sales in 2018.
At the ceremony, BMW Group Malaysia acknowledged each of its 20 BMW, 8 MINI and 10 BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country for their unparalleled service standards and dedication to providing Malaysians with top-of-the-line automobiles and aftersales services that promise maximum satisfaction.
In his speech, Mr. Harald Hoelzl, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia paid tribute to their contributions in raising the bar for the automotive industry. He said, “2018 was a significant year of growth for BMW Group Malaysia; we achieved an eighth consecutive year of growth and recorded the highest growth in the segment for the year. We would not have been able to achieve this without our network of dedicated dealers, who share a common vision to deliver award-winning vehicles and industry-leading service to our customers. Their dedication to these high standards has enabled us at BMW Group Malaysia to be the leading premium car company in the country. Together, we are looking forward to making 2019 another successful year for the brands represented by the BMW Group.”
BMW Aftersales Dealer Award 2018.
The awards for Head of Aftersales were presented to Alex Lee Kian An of Millennium Welt Batu Pahat, Ng Wai Lun of Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi, and Lim Yong Khung of Seong Hoe Premium.
In the categories for Customer Service Officer, awards were presented to Koo Chea Sieng of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur, Muaz Bin Mohd Amin of Auto Bavaria Johor Bahru, and Syed Faisal Azwan of Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi.
Meanwhile, Thang Chin Fai of Millennium Welt Seremban, Jacky Liu Jiun Long of Seong Hoe Premium Melaka and Muhammad Bin Mohd Abu Bakar of Auto Bavaria Penang all received the awards in the category for Mechanics.
Awards for Head of Parts Department saw Fun Meng Chiang of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur and Aizat Fuad of Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi take home the awards respectively.
In the Open Category for the BMW Aftersales Dealer Awards, awards were given to Gloria Anak Sigus of Regas Premium Auto Sarawak, Loganathan s/o Ramaswamy of Auto Bavaria Johor Baru and Ryan Tan En Lai of Tian Siang Premium Butterworth.
BMW Motorrad Dealer Award 2018.
BMW Group Malaysia also presented the BMW Motorrad Dealer Award, a category to highlight outstanding contributions to the organisation’s premium motorcycle business unit. In the category of Motorrad Sales Manager, awards were presented to Tan Yeok Thye of EL Chong Motor Sg. Jawi and Sathiya Selvam of Tian Siang Premium Auto Ipoh.
The Motorrad Sales Advisor category saw Ben Chear of Chear Motorrad Puchong and Wee Wei Ping of EL Chong Motor Sg. Jawi receiving awards respectively while in the Motorrad Aftersales Manager category, awards were presented to Celine Ooi Siew Hui of EL Chong Motor Sg. Jawi and Muthuramu Suppiah of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie.
Henry Tan of EL Chong Motor Sg. Jawi and Tee Kean Chu of Auto Bavaria Penang walked away with awards in the Motorrad Service Advisor category, while the Motorrad Technician Awards were given to Habibulah Ramli of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie and Nik Izwan of Tian Siang Premium Auto Ipoh. In the Open Category for BMW Motorrad, awards were presented to Lam Kae Vin of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie and Mohamed Irshad bin Abdul Razak of Auto Bavaria Penang.
MINI Issigonis Club Award 2018.
The MINI Issigonis Club Award highlighted the success of the MINI brand in the categories of MINI Top Dealership, MINI Top Sales Manager and MINI Top Sales Advisor. The awards were presented in the categories of MINI John Cooper Works (MINI JCW), MINI Cooper S and MINI Cooper.
The MINI Top Dealership awards were presented to Joe Lee of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie in the MINI JCW category, Choong Chin Seong of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur in the MINI Cooper S category and Nicholas Lee of Millennium Welt Seremban in the MINI Cooper category.
The MINI Top Sales Manager in the MINI JCW category was awarded to Jimmy Lim of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie, while the award in the MINI Cooper S category was given to Baljeet Singh of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur and the MINI Cooper award category went to Wong Kim Kooi of Auto Bavaria Penang.
Five outstanding individuals were awarded in the MINI Top Sales Advisor category. Two awards in the MINI JCW category were given to Jack Ng of Ingress Auto Bangsar and Belinda Ong of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie. Another two awards were presented in the MINI Cooper S category to Muhammad Zulhafizi of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur and Dianne Sulia of Wearnes Autohaus Tebrau, while the in the MINI Cooper category, the award was presented to Cally Chan of Auto Bavaria Penang.
BMW Vision Club Award 2018.
The BMW Vision Club Award awarded remarkable individual accomplishments in for their success in sales achievements in 2018. 14 high-achieving individuals were recognized in the categories of Head of Sales, Sales Advisor, Top 7 Series Sales and BMW Premium Selection.
In the category for Head of Sales, Victor Tan of Wheelcorp Premium Auto Setia Alam was awarded first placing in the Diamond category while Joseph Chin of Quill Automobiles Petaling Jaya took home the runner up Diamond category award. In the Platinum category, Nicholas Lee of Millenium Welt Seremban took home first prize while the runner up prize in the Platinum category went to Teoh Boon Chong of Tian Siang Premium Auto Butterworth. In the Gold award category, both Melvin Chong and Josephine Tay of Seong Hoe Premium Motors Melaka and Regas Premium Auto Kuching respectively presented with the award while in the Silver award category, Alex Teh of Millennium Welt Batu Pahat was presented with the award.
In the Sales Advisor category, the awards were presented to the winner Winnie Lim Siao Huoi of Wheelcorp Premium Setia Alam; 1st Runner Up, Jamie Hoy Lai Kien of Ingress Auto Damansara; 2nd Runner Up, Chan Wai San of Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi while Chong Kean Tuck of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie took home fourth place in the Diamond awards respectively.
The Platinum award in the Sales Advisor category were awarded to Wendy Lee Yean Chew of Millennium Welt Seremban, Paul Liew King Choong of Tian Sian Premium Auto Ipoh and Teh Weng Wah of Tian Siang Premium Auto Butterworth respectively. The Gold award, meanwhile, was awarded to Lim Yu Yuan of Lee Motors Auto Care Alor Setar, Felicia Fong Gheen Wah of Millennium Welt Kuantan and Tiong Kwan Siong of Regas Premium Kuching, while the Silver award was awarded to Alvin Tey Boon Huat of Millennium Welt Batu Pahat.
The coveted Top 7 Series Sales award was presented to Danny Saw, the Sales Advisor of Tian Siang Premium Auto Butterworth, making this the Butterworth dealership’s third back to back win.
