THE 8TH BMW GROUP MALAYSIA DEALER AWARDS NIGHT RECOGNISES OUTSTANDING DEALERSHIPS AND INDIVIDUALS FOR THE BRANDS BMW, MINI AND BMW MOTORRAD.

Premium automaker celebrates best performing dealerships and individuals in its network following another record-breaking performance year in 2017.


Kuala Lumpur, 19 April 2018 
– BMW Group Malaysia recently hosted its annual Dealer Awards Night, in celebration of the premium automaker’s record-breaking performance in the year 2017. It was the eighth time BMW Group Malaysia has hosted the Dealer Awards Night since 2010.

 

Top performing local dealer representatives and individuals were awarded for their achievements in supporting the premium automaker to achieve a steady business growth for the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad brands for 2017.

 

Mr. Hoelzl added that the strong relationships running through the premium automakers dedicated dealership network enable success to breed success, making it possible for the BMW Group Malaysia to passionately continue spreading their vision across Malaysia. 

 

“Our respected partners have made it possible for us to grow in tandem with the automotive industry of this country, giving us the opportunity to maintain our position at the very cutting-edge of motoring technology. The award winners have truly earned their accolades today and I look forward to working with each one of them to drive the way forward to another record-breaking year,” said Hoelzl.

BMW Aftersales Dealer Award 2017

The BMW Group Malaysia Dealer Awards Night 2017 acknowledged exceptional performances in the areas of Aftersales, recognising individuals at the levels of Head of Aftersales, Customer Service Officer, Technicians, and an Open Category. 

 

The awards for Head of Aftersales were presented to Patrick Teo from Millennium Welt Batu Pahat, Hoo Tian Kwong from AB Kuala Lumpur and Lim Young Khung of Seong Hoe.

 

In the category of Customer Service Officer, the recipients of the award were Nor Haslina from Lee Motors, Ruban Balachandran of AB Sungai Besi, and Ooi Kee Hong from AB Penang.

 

Meanwhile, in the category for Technicians, Jimmy Tan from Seong Hoe was recognized along with Rampirabu a/l Engiddaraman from AB Glenmarie and Yap Kah Jun of AB Kuala Lumpur.

 

In an Open Category of the BMW Aftersales Dealer Award, recognition was awarded to Fun Meng Chiang of AB Kuala Lumpur, Fu Ying Ying of Seong Hoe, Yuwaindran Subramaniam from Millennium Welt Kuantan and Azrul Hafiz Ramli of AB Glenmarie. A recipient of note was Brian Yow, who received the BMW Aftersales Dealer Award in the Open Category despite holding his position of Head of Aftersales at Millennium Welt Seremban for less than a year. 

 

MINI Issigonis Club Award and MINI Excellence Club 2017

The MINI Issigonis Club Award highlighted the success of the MINI brand, and for the first time was broken down into the following divisions; MINI John Cooper Works, MINI Cooper S and Mini Cooper. The categories for this award were as follow; MINI Top Dealership, MINI Top Sales Manager, MINI Top Sales Advisor, and overall MINI Top Dealership. 

 

In the MINI Top Dealerships category, Millennium Welt won in the MINI Cooper Category, and Dealer Principal – Bryan Wong – accepted the award, while Jayden Liew, Dealer Principal of Wheelcorp Premium accepted the MINI Cooper S division award on behalf of his team. The MINI JCW Category was won by AB Glenmarie as Low Yuan Lung accepted the award.

 

Nicholas Lee from Millennium Welt took home an award for the MINI Top Sales Manager category, this year in the MINI Cooper category. Other recipients of the award were Caleb Lau of AB Kuala Lumpur (MINI Cooper S Category) and Puteri Marianna from Ingress Bangsar (MINI JCW Category).  

 

MINI Top Sales Advisor awards went to Wendy Lee of Millennium Welt, Wong Ann Mee of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur, Hafizi of Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur, Belinda of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie, and Jack Ng of Ingress Bangsar.

 

The MINI Excellence Club Award to honour the best overall MINI dealership in Malaysia went to AB Kuala Lumpur and was accepted by Jeffrey Gan the managing director of the dealership.

 

BMW Motorrad Dealer Award 2017

BMW Group Malaysia also introduced the BMW Motorrad Dealer Award, a category to highlight outstanding contributions to the BMW Motorrad line. In the category of Motorrad Sales Manager, awards were presented to Toh Chin Khong from Wearnes Autohaus, Paul Chan Aing Sheng of Auto Bavaria (Penang), and Tan Yeok Thye from EL Chong Motor. Awards were also presented to recognize Motorrad Sales Advisors. The winners were Wee Wei Ping of EL Chong Motor, Gary Saw of Auto Bavaria (Penang), and Ben Chear of Chear Motorrad.

 

For exemplary performance in BMW Motorrad Aftersales services, awards were presented to David Mak from Chear Motorrad, Muthuramu Suppiah from Auto Bavaria (Glenmarie) and Wong Loke Win from Auto Bavaria (Penang) in the category of Motorrad Aftersales Manager.

 

BMW Group Financial Services Award

The BMW Group Financial Services Award recognised five best performers. The recipients of the Gold Category award were Millennium Welt Seremban and Regas Premium. Meanwhile, Auto Bavaria Penang won the Platinum Category. Finally, in the Diamond Category, both Wheelcorp Premium and Auto Bavaria Glenmarie won the award.

 

Best Quality Officers 2017

The Best Quality Officers Award was presented to Mohd Azlan Aladin from Auto Bavaria Penang, Azrul Hafiz Ramli from Auto Bavaria Glenmaries and Lee Yong Wei of Seong Hoe Premium Motors in first, second and third place, respectively.

 

Retail Marketing Challenge

For the first time, the BMW Group Malaysia awarded exemplary performance in the BMW Retail Marketing Challenge. In first place was Teh Rong Jun of Tian Siang Butterworth, followed by Jojo Tan from Auto Bavaria Glenmarie, and Jolene Tay from Regas Premium Auto in second and third place correspondingly.

 

BMW Vision Club Award 2017

The BMW Vision Club Award was started to award individual accomplishments in sales. This year, 22 top achieving individuals were recognized in the following categories; Sales Advisor, Head of Sales, Top 7 Series Performer and BMW Premium Selection.

 

The BMW Vision Club Award introduced the Top 7 Series Performer and BMW Premium Selection Categories last year to highlight the top sales contributors of those areas. The winners of the BMW Premium Selection Category were both from Sime Darby Auto Selection, with Edward Lim winning in the Head of Sales Category and Chow Wing Keong winning in the Sales Advisor Category. The Sales Advisor recognized as the Top 7 Series Winner was once again Danny Saw from Tian Siang Premium Auto, making it his second year in a row.

 

The Sales Advisor who was recognized in the Silver Category was Alvin Tey Boon Huat from Millennium Welt Batu Pahat, while Sally Ku Hui Sham and Wendy Lee Yean Chew from Millennium Welt Seremban won the Gold Category Award. In the Platinum Category, Lim Kar Ean and Ellen Low from Auto Bavaria Johor Bahru were recognized, along with Desmond Ong Ban Hock from Auto Bavaria Penang and Danny Saw from Tian Siang Butterworth. In the Diamond Category, Ken Chong Kean Tuck and Ros Faizan bin Mohd Yusof and Chua Kok Sing of Auto Bavaria Glenmarie were recognized, as well as Michelle Chan Wai San of Ingress Auto Damansara, and Jasmine Yeong Swee Lai of Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi.In the Head of Sales category, Alex Teh of Millennium Welt Batu Pahat walked away with the Silver Category Award, and Nicholas Lee from Millennium Welt Seremban was awarded the Gold Category Award. Recipients of the Platinum Category award were Toh Chin Khong from Wearnes Tebrau and Wong Kim Khooi (KK Wong) from Auto Bavaria Penang. The recipients for the Diamond Category were Caleb Lau Lian Yoong from Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur and Joe Lee Se Juan from Auto Bavaria Glenmarie. 

 

BMW Excellence Club Award 2017

Bryan Wong from Millennium Welt Batu Bahat was the Silver category recipient of the BMW Excellence Club Award once again this year. He also won first place in the Gold Category of the BMW Excellence Club Award, and was followed by Gavin Tay of Regas Premium Auto and Woon Choon Yuen of Millennium Welt Kuantan in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Accepting the awards in the Platinum Category was Tan Ka Kim from Tian Siang Premium Auto in both first and second place for Tian Siang Premium Auto Butterworth and Tian Siang Premium Auto Ipoh respectively, followed by Low Yuan Lung representing Auto Bavaria Johor Bahru in third place. Finally, in the Diamond Category awards first place went to Low Yuan Lung from Auto Bavaria Glenmarie, while second place was awarded to Jayden Liew of Wheelcorp Premium and Choong Chin Seong from Auto Bavaria Kuala Lumpur walked away with the Diamond Category Award in third place.
