BMW MALAYSIA INTRODUCES THE NEW BMW 530e M SPORT AND BMW 520i LUXURY.
Premium automaker expands the world’s most successful business sedan portfolio with the addition of two new variants.
Kuala Lumpur, 25th April 2019 – BMW Malaysia today introduced the New BMW 530e M Sport and the New BMW 520i Luxury, further expanding the premium automaker’s most successful business sedan portfolio.

Offering a perfect combination of emotive driving and efficiency, the New BMW 530e M Sport serves a renewed sense of athleticism and pure dynamism with the M Sport package. The New BMW 520i Luxury, meanwhile, features a luxurious and progressive expression, offering comfort and state-of-the-art technology.
The New BMW 530e M Sport: success electrified.
The BMW 5 Series Plug-in Hybrid with eDrive Technology is the most innovative model in its class and serves up a dynamic experience, combined with outstanding efficiency and seamless everyday practicality. Now, the New BMW 530e M Sport will bring efficiency to a higher level of driving performance with the M Sport Package.
The New BMW 530e M Sport is framed by BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line and is accentuated by the ornamental kidney grille with Active Air Stream for optimum aerodynamics. The M designation meanwhile sits on the front side panel. The new 19-inch M light alloy wheels provide unmatched driving agility, complete with the flat tyre indicator to ensure safety. The vehicle also features the M Sport brake with blue-painted brake callipers with M designation. Along the rear of the New BMW 530e M Sport are two-sided exhaust tailpipe finishers with a trapezoidal design in light chrome that further underlines its Motorsport DNA.
Powering the New BMW 530e M Sport is the inline 4-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo 2-litre petrol engine combined with the BMW eDrive system’s electric motor. The overall system output is 252hp and 420Nm of torque, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. With a top speed of 235 km/h, the New BMW 530e M Sport consumes only 2.3l/100km of fuel with a lowered CO2 emission of 53g/km.
Inside, the New BMW 530e M Sport features the exclusive M leather steering wheel, M illuminated door sill finishers and M-specific pedals along with stylish sport seats for both the driver and the passenger – allowing a sense of thrill familiar to the BMW M Sport variants. The New BMW 530e M Sport is furnished with Dakota Leather upholstery and the BMW Individual anthracite headliner, while interior trim finishers are in Aluminium Rhombicle and highlight trim finishers in Pearl Chrome. Illumination within the car is provided by ambient lighting in 11 predefined designs incorporating six different colours.
As the most innovative model in its class, the New BMW 530e M Sport is equipped with BMW ConnectedDrive services. The multifunction display with a high-resolution 12.3” colour interface using black-panel technology is specially designed for the instrument cluster in front of the driver. The new business sedan is also equipped with Navigation System Professional that features a 10.25” touchscreen interface.
The New BMW 530e M Sport offers Comfort Access – providing seamless opening and closing of vehicle doors along with contactless tailgate operation, as well as with automatic air-conditioning with 4-zone control. Driving Assistance is provided to the New BMW 530e M Sport via Lane Departure and Change Warning, front collision alert with brake intervention, rear collision prevention, crossing-traffic warning and Cruise Control with braking function. The New BMW 530e M Sport is also equipped with the Parking Assistant for automatic parallel and perpendicular parking.
The New BMW 530e M Sport is available in Black Sapphire or Sophisto Grey, paired with either the Black or Night Blue Leather Dakota upholstery; or in Bluestone or Alpine White paired with Black Leather Dakota upholstery.
The New BMW 520i Luxury: built to outperform.
Set to be an icon of affluence, the New BMW 520i Luxury represents a new dimension in driving luxury, with exterior chrome optics, Leather Dakota upholstery and Sensatec dashboard.
The Chrome Line Exterior of the New BMW 520i Luxury immediately places the sedan at centre-stage. Its sleek design is showcased through the ornamental kidney grille plated in chrome, along with select chrome elements on the front bumper. The ultimate business sedan boasts new 18” light alloy V-spoke wheels, complete with a flat tyre indicator. Along the rear of the New BMW 520i Luxury are the chrome exhaust tailpipe finishers.
The New BMW 520i Luxury is also powered by the inline four-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre petrol engine which generates up to 184hp and a peak torque of 290Nm. Affixed with the 8-Speed Steptronic transmission, the New BMW 520i Luxury can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. It has a top speed of 235km/h. The business sedan consumes 6.2l/100km of fuel with a CO2 emission of 141g/km.
Inside, the New BMW 520i Luxury is furnished with exquisite Dakota leather upholstery and interior trim finishers in black high-gloss. The driver steers with a sport leather steering wheel in the comfort of a sports seat, also fitted for the passenger of the New BMW 520i Luxury. It also features a Sensatec dashboard and aluminium door sill finishers that have front and rear illumination. Additionally, the new business sedan features relaxing ambient lighting in 11 predefined designs, available in six spectacular colours.
The New BMW 520i Luxury is also equipped with BMW ConnectedDrive, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, with extended smartphone connectivity. The New BMW 520i Luxury benefits from a 10.25” touchscreen interface of the Navigation System Professional. A high-resolution 12.3” multifunctional instrument display with black-panel technology and a 20GB memory hard drive for audio files are both affixed for all infotainment needs.
The BMW 520i Luxury is also complete with a variety of comfort features including Comfort Access, automatic air-conditioning with 4-zone control, Driving Assistance which also includes Cruise Control with braking function, Parking Assistant and the rear view camera.
Colour offerings for the New BMW 520i Luxury include Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Imperial Blue or Alpine White, paired with Black Leather Dakota upholstery, featuring exclusive stitching in contrast Black.

With Easy Drive from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, ownership of the New BMW 530e M Sport starts from RM 4,558.00 per month, and ownership of the New BMW 520i Luxury starts from RM 4,428.00 per month. These are based on the estimates of an 80% loan on a four-year tenure, with a mileage capped at 20,000km per year.
