Dear owners, customers and fans,
Let me begin by officially introducing myself. My name is Harald Hoelzl and I am the new Managing Director and CEO at BMW Group Malaysia.
As we are already well into three months of the year 2018 and having recently ushered in the New Year of the Dog, I am happy to share with you the first BMW eNewsletter for the first quarter of the year.
2018 began with an electrifying start with the introduction of the First-Ever BMW 530e Sport in the country. The all-new premium sports sedan, now the newest member of the BMW Hybrid with eDrive Technology family was very much anticipated in the country with the successes we have achieved with our fleet of BMW iPerformance plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The introduction of the BMW 530e Sport takes us to the third chapter of our Story of Visionary Mobility in the country which began with the BMW X5 xDrive 40e and BMW 330e M Sport in 2016 and the BMW 740Le xDrive 40e in 2017.
We then ushered in Chinese New Year 2018 in style with a campaign with famed local Malaysian fashion icon Khoon Hooi. Taking inspiration from his newest Cheongsam Collection for 2018, we decorated our showrooms across the country with his unique embroidery signature, even crafting a selection of limited edition Ang Pow packets which became the talk of the town.
Following the fifteen days of Chinese New Year, we opened doors to the BMW Luxury Excellence Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur for the very first time! The one of a kind luxurious program also unveiled the BMW Concept 8 Series in South East Asia for the very first time, creating BMW Malaysia’ Story of Luxury in the country.
Exciting times are ahead for the BMW Group in Malaysia as we will continue to drive industry leading innovation as well as first of its kind experience and fascination programs in the premium segment of the Malaysian Automotive Industry.
