VEHICLE SERVICE & REPAIR DURING MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER FOR COVID-19 IN MALAYSIA.

  • What should I do in case my vehicle needs any maintenance or repair during the MCO period? Are the BMW Authorised Service Centres still operating?

    The National Security Council of Malaysia has clearly informed BMW Group Malaysia and our network of dealerships that only towing and basic repair services on a vehicle that is towed into our dealerships are permitted at a minimum level until 9 June 2020. Each local government council has the responsibility to enforce this regulation as well as the authority to evaluate exceptions.

     

    Above are the selected BMW Authorised Dealerships that have been granted approval and are now offering appointment based services.

  • If my car breaks down and I cannot continue with my journey, what should I do?

    Our BMW Roadside Assistance call centre (1800 88 8808 ) will remain open and operate 24/7 as per usual. In the case the problem cannot be solved swiftly, a towing service will be provided to the nearest BMW Authorised Service Centre. Depending on the nature of the problem, the car may need to be stored and secured at the dealership until the period after the MCO. Major repairs can only be conducted after the period of the MCO.

  • If I have a previously scheduled service appointment that falls within the MCO period, what should I do?

    There is nothing for you to do at the moment. Our BMW Authorised Dealers will be contacting all our customers to reschedule and offer alternatives for a convenient maintenance or repair appointment.

  • If the oil service signal in my car turns amber and I am unable to find any BMW Authorised Dealers open, should I stop using my car immediately?

    When the Condition Based Service (CBS) oil service warning light changes to amber, you still have up to 2,000km to drive safely without any problem or engine damage. If you are planning to drive more than 2,000km until 9 June 2020, we recommend that you wait until the oil service maintenance on your BMW is performed. In addition to that, you can check the mileage or time required until your next service in the menu by accessing My vehicle / Vehicle Status / Oil Service.

  • If my BMW Service Inclusive (BSI) or BMW Repair Inclusive (BRI) ends within the period of the MCO and I am unable to bring the car to the workshop, will I still be entitled to the services and repairs benefit after its expiration?

    Yes, BMW Malaysia and all BMW Authorised Dealers will honour and accept the cases. However, BMW Group Malaysia has to be informed via BMW Customer Relations Team, the BMW Service Online, or directly to your BMW Authorised Dealer. The BMW Service Online appointment system https://service.bmw.com.my is available 24/7 for an easy, convenient and secure service scheduling(*). Your personal safety and the proper functionality of your BMW vehicle is our most important concern.

  • If my car suffers from any tyre damage or puncture during the MCO period and I get the tyre repaired at a non-BMW Authorised Centre, will this void the BMW Tyre Warranty?

    Again, our ultimate goal is the safety and security of both you and your BMW Vehicle. Any damage or puncture that is repaired at a non-authorised BMW Service Centre will not void the warranty. If you need to replace a tyre within the warranty period of the BMW Tyre Warranty, the limits and conditions of our tyre warranty program (2 years and the respective mileage) will apply.
